Data source feeding VDX Core

The problem.

Climate in greenhouses and controlled environments is still measured by probes that talk only to the local controller. Nobody sees the data remotely, and someone has to walk the site to check that windows opened and irrigation started.

The idea.

Stoma is shaped by the air it measures. Every opening faces down, so water can't get in, and 28 twisted blades ventilate the sensor with no fan: a 3D airflow simulation confirms that fresh air reaches it continuously. It measures air, leaf temperature, CO₂, air quality, light and UV, shows its status on a light ring you can read from across the site, and sends everything over long-range radio to VDX Core.

Minimum viable product

What the first version does.

  1. 01Air temperature and humidity, leaf temperature (infrared), CO₂, air quality index, light and UV
  2. 02Fan-less, water-shedding shell, 3D printed, validated with a 3D airflow simulation
  3. 03RGB status ring: green, attention, alarm, no signal, with the same thresholds as the app
  4. 04Leaf condensation warning (dew point) for early disease prevention
  5. 05Long-range radio to a single gateway covering large sites, data in VDX Core

Who it's for

Wherever plants grow under control.

  • GreenhousesClimate across large covered sites, visible remotely, with alerts before crops suffer.
  • Vertical farmsDense, stacked growing where every layer has its own microclimate.
  • Plant growth chambersResearch environments where conditions must be logged and proven, not assumed.

What we're looking for.

  • Growers and facility operators for the first field tests
  • Engineers in embedded systems and sensing
