VDX Technologies is an independent European technology lab. We build open tools to observe, understand and explore the world, from the cell to the edge of space.

VDX was started in October 2026 by a young European founder with one conviction: the instruments that science, farming and flight depend on should be open, verifiable and owned by the people who use them. We design hardware and software together, publish what we learn, and ship in the open.

Our story

The name: Vision, Discovery, Exploration. Three words, one method.

  1. Vision. See. Making the invisible measurable. We build the instruments and software that let you see what a cell, a field or a sky is really doing.
  2. Discovery. Understand. Turning measurement into knowledge. Data, designs and methods are published openly, so anyone can check them and build on them.
  3. Exploration. Go further. Taking the tools where they are needed: labs, greenhouses, open fields, the air above them, and further.

From biology to space.

  • Life sciencesOpen instruments and data pipelines for biology and biotechnology labs.
  • Agriculture & environmentSensors that read soil, air and plants, in greenhouses and in the open.
  • Aerospace & flightAirframes, aerodynamics and autonomous systems for the sky.
  • Software & AIPlatforms and local agents that keep data and decisions in your hands.

Open-source local AI agent for macOS. Chat with Ollama models and let them handle your Calendar, Reminders, Gmail and Discord. Private, offline, no cloud.

Made in Europe

Built in Europe. Owned by no one.

Our work follows European open standards and strict data protection. Software ships under AGPL-3.0 and MIT, hardware under CERN-OHL, data under CC BY 4.0. Critical technology should never be held hostage by a closed vendor.
